| Adams County Transit Authority (ACTA) ia a public municipal authority formed by the County of Adams to provide public transportation. ACTA is the designated shared-ride provider.
ACTA began its service in 1981 as a non-profit with a mission to provide consolidated transportation for local human service agencies. In 1987 ACTA opened its system to the general public and became a provider of Senior Shared Ride program funded by the Pennsylvania State Lottery through the PA Department of Transportation.
Today ACTA provides numerous shared ride and paratransit transportation programs for the residents of Adams County. ACTA's service area covers approximately 250 square miles and our fleet consists of 14 vehicles ranging from minivans to accessible small transit buses.
ACTA is currently planning a new fixed route public transit service for the Borough of Gettysburg.
